According to the police, this fatal Long Island Expressway hit-and-run accident occurred on October 15 at approximately 6:30 a.m.  A livery cab was moving in an eastbound direction on the service road along the Long Island Expressway.  As the cab approached 58th Road in Queens, it was hit head-on by a wrong-way driver in a Chrysler sedan.  The 37-year-old passenger in the livery cab was killed and police have identified the driver who fled as a 36-year-old Brooklyn man.
