We posted yesterday in regards to a terrible single-vehicle Queens car accident that seriously injured both the driver and his passenger.  The female passenger has been identified, and tragically this information was released as she passed away from what was described as serious head trauma after fighting for her life for a day.  This death marks the second fatality at this specific location in less than two weeks.  Last week, a man was killed in a fatal Queens pedestrian accident there, and police are still investigating what caused the second accident.

This latest Queens car accident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. yesterday morning when the driver of a Volkswagen, 39-year-old Alexander Palacio, lost control of the vehicle at the off ramp for the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, near 25-06 Queens Plaza.  The Volkswagen crashed violently into the buildings that sit there, and the passenger, 40-year-old Beatriz Rodriguez, suffered massive head injuries that ultimately caused her death.  Police have indicated that high speeds were a factor in the latest crash.
