According to authorities, the latest New York pedestrian accident occurred on Tuesday just before 8 a.m. at a bus stop station at 2085 Flatbush Ave. in the Flatlands section.  The driver of a BMW SUV somehow lost control of the vehicle after driving at an extremely high rate of speed down Flatbush Avenue.  The vehicle ran up on the sidewalk and continued on that path for approximately 200 yards before hitting the people at the bus stop and finally coming to rest against a handicap ramp at a public library.  No names of those involved were released.
