According to authorities, the latest fatal Long Island car accident occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning in Smithtown.  23-year-old Krystle Rivera was driving her 1988 Mercedes in an eastbound direction on Middle Country Road when she suddenly lost control of it near Terry Road.  The vehicle veered off the street, hit a tree and overturned.  The driver and two other passengers were injured, and 19-year-old Jonathan Havlicek of Mount Sinai was killed.  Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
