According to the authorities, this fatal New York car accident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon in the town of Java, which sits about 25 miles from Buffalo.  A 51-year-old woman was driving a vehicle with her 58-year-old husband in an eastbound direction on Routes 98 and 78.  As they entered the intersection with Pee Dee Road, they were hit by another motorist.  Both of them were killed and the other driver was injured.  A third car was also hit after the initial collision, and that driver suffered minor injuries.
