According to the police, this suspected Lewiston DUI accident occurred on Saturday night when 43-year-old Douglas Bruce was driving his motorcycle on Upper Mountain Road when he suddenly crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming pickup truck.  Pauline Vanthiel, 51, was riding on the back of the motorcycle as a passenger, and she was thrown from it as a result of the crash.  She sustained multiple injuries to her torso and lower body and did not survive.  Police have arrested the driver on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DWI.
