Police had already begun the search for an unidentified driver of a BMW sedan that had hit and immediately killed Manuel Tzajguachiac, 25.  This Bensonhurst hit-and-run accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. as Mr. Tzajguachiac was crossing the intersection of 65th Street and 20th Avenue.  The BMW in question came through at a high rate of speed, slammed into the man and sent him flying into the air.  He was killed instantly and the driver never stopped after the collision.  Police are continuing their investigation, and the firefighter who reported that the vehicle was his is 39-year-old Pat Quagliariello.
