Driver Flees Scene After Horrific Staten Island Car Accident That Kills One, Injures Six Others

According to the authorities, this Staten Island car accident occurred last night at approximately 9:45 p.m.  It occurred at the intersection of Hillside Terrace and Hylan Boulevard after the driver of an SUV allegedly ran through a stop sign at the intersection.  As a result, the SUV was hit by the driver of a Nissan sedan.  As a result of the impact, the SUV rolled down the road before becoming lodged between a parked truck and a utility pole.  At that point, the driver of the Nissan reportedly fled the scene.  The driver of the SUV was killed and six other people were injured, at least four critically.
