According to police, the latest Bronx hit-and-run accident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday when Joshua Saunders was running after a ball hit by his older brother in front of their home on East 214th Street in Williamsbridge.  At the same time, a motorist driving a Nissan SUV came speeding down the street and hit the boy.  The force of the impact sent the boy flying into the air.  The driver continued without stopping as the boy slammed onto the street.  He was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
